Our 1910 catalog shows that Gould NY was manufacturing metal traverse poles at that time, and in the early 1950’s Gould NY introduced wood traverse poles to the industry. Our expertise in the area is recognized by industry leaders and prominent designers and decorators throughout the country. The current owners of Gould NY are degreed engineers and apply engineering concepts to all facets of our design and manufacturing activities. Perfection is always our target. All of our wood poles are made in the US and all of our paints and stains are supplied by US manufacturers. These penetrating wood stains produce a much higher quality product than the “paint stains” of the foreign imports.
